Peak Raid Race 2 Edale
Peak Raid Race 2 Edale is the second event in a four race series of three hour fell races held on Peak District hills, moors and dales. The event uses a score format with SiTiming; competitors receive a waterproof map and a control description with point values and then select their own route to visit as many controls as possible within the three hour time limit. Points are lost for late return.
Racing is open to solo competitors and pairs. The minimum age is 14. Where one competitor is under 18 the other must be over 21 and must be the parent, guardian, or an accompanying adult appointed by the parent or guardian. Age category is determined by age on 31/12/2026 and for pairs it is based on the age of the oldest runner. Pairs may enter any category.
Entrants must meet the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit requirement. The kit includes waterproof whole body cover with taped seams and an attached hood, hat, gloves, a map provided by the organiser, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. All competitors will have kit checked. Dogs are not permitted.
Entries open 11 February 2026 and close 15 October 2026. Entry fees per person are £20 early bird, £22 standard from 07/09/2026 and £25 late from 12/10/2026. FRA members receive a £2 reduction. To be eligible for prizes competitors must complete at least two races; prizes are awarded in each category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
