Peak Raid Race 2 Edale
Peak Raid Race 2 Edale is part of a four race series of three hour score fell events held on Peak District hills, moors and dales. The event on 18 October 2026 takes place around Edale and emphasises route choice and navigation skills over varied terrain from high moorland to limestone dales.
Competitors receive a waterproof map with control descriptions and points values at the start. Each competitor or pair has three hours to visit controls and collect as many points as possible; points are deducted for lateness. The event uses a score format and entries may be solo or pairs. Pairs may enter any category and the age category for pairs is determined by the oldest competitor.
Fifteen categories are offered, including solo, pairs, mixed pairs and a parent or guardian with an under 18 category. Minimum age to enter is 14 and age categories are set by age on 31/12/2026. To be eligible for prizes entrants must complete at least two races; prizes are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category, with only 1st prize where six or fewer compete.
Competitors must carry the FRA Mandatory Minimum Kit: waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and integrated hood, hat, gloves, map, compass, whistle, emergency food and a survival bag. All kit will be checked.
Entry fees are shown as Early Bird £20, Standard £22 and Late £25, with FRA members receiving a £2 reduction. Entries open 11 February 2026 and close 15 October 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
