PDR Mardi Gras 5k and Fun Run
The PDR Mardi Gras 5k and Fun Run takes place in Prairie du Rocher on February 21, 2026. The event includes a 5k that loops around the historic French town and a separate fun run/walk. The start and finish are at the American Legion at 509 Henry St, Prairie Du Rocher, IL 62277.

All benefits from the event go to the Sons of the American Legion. Registration for the 5k is listed at $25 per participant and same day registration is available at $35. 5k participants receive a complimentary Mardi Gras Run T shirt, festive beads, a snack, a drink, and a beer or soda token at the finish. Additional shirts are available on a first come, first serve basis and a registered runner’s shirt can be picked up at the Prairie du Rocher American Legion any day after the race during normal business hours if the runner cannot attend.
Registration to guarantee a shirt choice is noted as February 18. The Fun Run/Walk is listed with a registration fee of $5 per participant and includes festive beads and a snack or water.
