Mid America Rehab's Race Across the River - Perryville
Mid America Rehab's Race Across the River is a community 5K held in Perryville, Missouri, with a course that crosses the river bridge and returns to finish on the Missouri side. The course begins on the bridge, follows the access road toward Highway 51 on the Missouri side, turns around and returns across the bridge toward Illinois before finishing back on the Missouri side. MoDOT assisted with measuring the course to the official 5K distance.
Proceeds from the event support local high school athletic programs. Past efforts and sponsorships have contributed a total of $52,700 to athletic programs at Perryville High School and St. Vincent High School, and this year proceeds also include Chester High School along with other Perry County schools. Local businesses provide sponsorship and fundraising support for the event.
