Race Across the River - Perryville
Mid America Rehab's Race Across the River is a community 5K event held in Perryville, Missouri at Horse Island Chute near Hwy 51 on July 11, 2026. The event offers a standard 5K Run/Walk and a 5K category for participants pushing a child in a stroller. Organizers report that $52,700 has been donated to support local high school athletic programs. Proceeds from the event will benefit Perryville High School, St. Vincent High School, and Chester High School.
The measured course starts on the bridge, follows the access road toward Hwy 51 on the Missouri side, returns to the bridge, crosses into Illinois, then returns again to Hwy 51 and finishes back on the bridge. MoDOT and Ames Construction assisted with measuring the course to meet the 5K distance.
Registration opens on 2026-05-08 and closes on 2026-06-16. The registration fee is $25.00. For the stroller category, the child in the stroller does not need a separate registration. A T-shirt is provided only for the person pushing the stroller; a T-shirt for the child must be purchased separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
