Hecker Tiki Trot 5K
The Hecker Tiki Trot 5K is an evening running event in Hecker, Illinois on August 15, 2026. The course runs along a quiet country road at dusk and is lined with over 200 burning tiki torches. Distances offered include:

- 1/2 Mile Fun Run
Registration opens June 16, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $30.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1/2 mile fun run. Price increases occur on August 1. Participants who pre-register by August 1 are guaranteed a t-shirt; some shirts may be available for race day registrants but quantities and sizes are not guaranteed.
Race day pickup is scheduled for Saturday, August 15 on the Hecker Community Center grounds next to the ball diamond. Awards are given to overall men and women and to the top three in each age group: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. No rain dates or refunds will be given for conflict, illness, personal injury, weather, or similar circumstances. Shirts and awards will not be mailed.
