Paws in the Park 5k Run/Walk
The Paws in the Park 5k Run/Walk is the ninth annual event held at Cascades Falls Park in Jackson, Michigan, located at 1401 S Brown St, 49203. The event is organized by Cascades Humane Society and serves as one of the organization’s largest fundraisers. Donations and registration fees support the animals in the society’s care.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5k Run
- 5k Walk
- 1 Mile Woof Walk
- Virtual 5k
Leashed dogs are welcome to attend and participate. Each 5k participant receives a t shirt and finisher medal. Each Woof Walk participant receives a t shirt. T shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 30, 2026; remaining supplies are available while they last. Early packet pick up is available at Cascades Humane Society on Friday, May 29.
The Virtual 5k can be completed on the participant’s own time and in a preferred location; participants may use apps such as Strava, RunKeeper, or MapMyRun to track their route and mileage. The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Group pricing applies for three or more registrants, with a discount per registrant.
