Paul Mailman 10 Miler and 5K
The Paul Mailman races take place on April 18, 2026, with the event located at Montpelier High School. Parking is available at the school and the races begin and end on the track.
Distances:
- 10 mile run on a classic dirt road course.
- 5K run, flat out and back.
The 10 mile course runs along the river where it is relatively flat and includes rolling hills on Jones Brook Road. Aid stations are located near the 5K turnaround (also around mile 8.5) and near miles 4.5 and 6.
Registration is online only and closes at midnight on April 16, 2026. There will be no race day registration. Entry limits are 100 runners for the 10 mile and 50 runners for the 5K. Entry fees are $20 for the 10 mile and $15 for the 5K. Entries cannot be transferred between the two races. Race day number pickup is at the Montpelier High School track from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Awards are given in overall and age division categories for the 10 mile and for overall finishers in the 5K. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to Good Samaritan Haven, a nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to people experiencing homelessness.
