Patriots & Paws 5K
Patriots & Paws 5K is a community 5K run/walk scheduled for September 12, 2026 at the Cross Country Course in Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY. The event recognizes the Bronx’s Revolutionary War legacy and the nation’s 250th anniversary while supporting veterans and first responders.
The Colonel Benjamin Tallmadge Chapter, NSDAR produced the event to mark a decade of chapter service in the Bronx. All proceeds benefit America’s VetDogs, a nonprofit that provides service and guide dogs to veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders with disabilities, including those with physical injuries, mobility challenges, PTSD, seizures, and hearing or vision loss.
Event amenities include live results delivered by text or email, free finish line photos, personalized bibs for registrations received three weeks before race day, and T-shirts. Awards list a top male and top female overall. Registration includes a run/walk entry option and a donation-only option; registration fees are non-refundable.
