Pat Magovern Shillelagh 5K Race & One-Mile Walk
The event takes place in Lake Como, New Jersey, on October 3, 2026, with Bar Anticipation (703 16th Avenue) as the primary venue and post-race gathering location. The course passes through the Jersey Shore towns of Belmar, Lake Como and Spring Lake.

Registration for the 5K and walks is offered in tiered pricing. For the 5K the listed fees are $35 early bird (through 8/31/26), $40 online pre-registration (9/1 - 9/28/26), and $45 race week (9/29 - 10/4/26); shirts are available while supplies last. The one-mile walk for ages 12 and over lists $30 early bird (through 8/31/26), $35 online pre-registration (9/1 - 9/28/26), and $40 race week (9/29 - 10/4/26). The kids' one-mile (11 and under) lists $20 early bird (through 10/2/26) and $25 race week (10/3 - 10/4/26) in-person only.
There is bib and T-shirt pickup the day before at the Shillelagh Club (815 16th Ave, Belmar) and on event day at Bar Anticipation. Official timing is provided by Elite Racing Systems. Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, top Shillelagh members, and top male and female in multiple age groups. The event will raise funds for The Foundation of the Friendly Sounds of the Shillelagh, which supports college scholarships and assists individuals in need.
