Parkie’s 5K

Parkie’s 5K takes place on August 22, 2026 at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The event is a road 5K that welcomes participants who run, walk, roll, push a stroller, crawl, or hop to complete the distance. Registered runners must be at least 5 years old.

Registration opens February 28, 2026 and fees vary by registration date. Fee tiers listed by the organizer include: $30 adults and $27 children if registered by July 31, 2026; $35 adults and $32 children for registrations between August 1 and August 20, 2026; higher fees apply on race day. A separate 1‑mile Family Fun Walk is offered with a different fee.

Packet pick up is available at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex the day before and on event day as noted by the organizer. Participants who register by August 1 are guaranteed to receive a T shirt; registrations after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or correct shirt size.

All 5K finishers receive a commemorative medal and each participant receives a finisher gift. Award medals are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 plus.
