Parkie’s 5K
Parkie’s 5K takes place on Saturday August 22, 2026 at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex (BRAC) in Bolingbrook, IL. The event program includes two separate events and is organized by the Parkie’s 5K team.

- Parkie’s one mile Fun & Family Walk
The course is described as flat and fast and is presented with a community focus. Participants may run, walk, or push a stroller. The 5K is open to ages 5 to 99; the one mile walk is open to ages 4 and up. Stroller riders on the one mile are free but will not receive a race shirt or finisher’s medal.
Registration opens February 28, 2026. Base prices listed are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the one mile walk; a range of pricing tiers is provided for different registration dates. Participants who register by August 1 are guaranteed a race shirt in their selected size; later registrants are not guaranteed a shirt or correct size. Each participant receives a finisher gift and 5K finishers receive a commemorative medal. Awards include top overall male and female and top three males and females in the published age categories.
Pre-registration packet pickup is scheduled at the BRAC multipurpose room on August 22. Same day registration is available on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
