About the race
Bolingbrook Park District’s Parkie’s 5K is a community road race held on August 22, 2026, at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex (200 Lindsey Lane), Bolingbrook, IL. The event includes a 5K run and a 1-mile Family Fun Walk, plus a Troop 75 pancake breakfast at First Presbyterian Church.

The 5K allows running, walking, stroller use, or other noncompetitive participation. Pre-registration options and tiered fees are listed for different registration periods; early registration rates apply through July 31, 2026. Participants fully registered by August 1 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; those who register after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or correct size. Each participant receives a finisher gift. All 5K finishers receive a commemorative medal and award medals are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three males and females in each listed age category.
Packet pick-up for pre-registered participants is scheduled for August 21 at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex. Same-day registration is available on race day. The 1-mile Family Fun Walk is open to participants ages 4 and up; stroller riders are free but do not receive a shirt or finisher medal. Registered runners must be at least 5 years old.
