Parkie's 5K

Parkie’s 5K is held on August 21, 2027 at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The event program includes a timed 5K road race and an untimed 1-Mile Family Fun Walk through the neighborhood.

Registration for the events opens February 27, 2027. Registration for the 5K closes August 1, 2027; registration for the 1-Mile Walk closes August 19, 2027. The listed registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-Mile Walk. Participants who register by August 1 are guaranteed to receive a t-shirt in their size; those registered after that date are not guaranteed a shirt or a correct size. Each participant receives a finisher gift.

Packet pick-up will be available at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex multipurpose room on August 20 from 3:00–7:00 pm. The 5K field receives commemorative medals; award medals for the 5K will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three males and females in each age category (10 and under, 11–14, 15–19, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34, 35–39, 40–44, 45–49, 50–54, 55–59, 60–64, 65–69, 70–74, 75+). The 1-Mile Family Fun Walk is open to ages 4 and up; stroller riders for the walk are free but do not receive a shirt or medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
