Parallel Windsor 2026
Parallel Windsor is a Festival of Inclusivity held at Windsor Great Park and staged on the Long Walk. The event presents accessible challenge events for people of all ages, health conditions and abilities, where participants can walk, push or run. There are no cut off times and the event uses a "Start Together, Finish Whenever" format.
The programme offers a range of challenge distances, including:
- 100 m
- 1 km
- SuperSensory 1 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
Everybody who starts an event receives a medal, a t-shirt and a goody bag. A Virtual Entry option is available; virtual entries also receive a medal and t-shirt. The SuperSensory 1 km is designed to support neurodiversity and participants with profound and multiple disabilities by engaging senses through challenges involving sound, taste, touch and smell.
The festival includes themed entertainment and activities such as music, dance, storytelling, arts and crafts, inclusive sport, a sensory zone and street food. On-site facilities aim to support accessibility and include parking, accessible toilets (including RevoLOOs), medical support, a sensory space and a quiet space. Support and assistance animals are welcome. The event is presented as a fully accessible family festival focused on participation and inclusive provision.
