Thames Path Trail Run - Windsor (Alexandra Gardens)
The Thames Path Trail Run starts from Alexandra Gardens in Windsor and follows the River Thames along a flat, riverside trail. The route offers extended river views and passes locations such as Boveney Lock, a Thames weir, and the Eaton Railway Viaduct.
Participants can choose from two measured distances and recorded elevation profiles:
- 21.8 km (Half Marathon), 69 m elevation
- 16.1 km, 51 m elevation
The event is chip timed and the course is fully signed with pink arrows and pink tape. Hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signs. Marshals are positioned around the route and on-course refreshments and water stations are provided. First aid cover is available and an event photographer records the day.
At the finish line each participant receives a high-quality metal medal, a refreshing drink, a finisher's goodie and a personalised certificate. The organiser operates a plastic-free policy at water stations, so participants should use a reusable cup or bottle. On arrival participants collect their race bib at registration and should bring their QR code; bibs must be displayed on the front as instructed. Spectators are welcome to attend.
