Parade 5K Road Run
The Parade 5K Road Run is a 3.1 Miles course that follows the Elkhart County Fair parade route through the fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana. The route passes through areas with large spectator crowds. Two water stations are available along the course and ice towels are provided at the finish area.
The event is intended for participants who can complete the distance in a timely manner; organizers recommend prior training and suggest finishing the 5K in 50 minutes or less. The race is not designed for casual walkers or anyone who may have difficulty finishing the course. Running with strollers is permitted, pets are not allowed, and costumes are common among participants.
Logistics on race day include check-in at Corporate Tent 1 on the northeast end of the fairgrounds, directly north of the race track near gate 5. Runners must pick up their race shirt and bib prior to starting; only those with the current issued race number may use the provided bus transportation to the starting area or participate in the race. Top male and female finishers receive prizes. Race organizers enforce number checks to prevent unregistered participants.
Registration information notes a fee of $25.00 and a deadline to guarantee a race shirt of July 1, 2026. A separate youth mile fun run may take place on the horse track; that activity is distinct from this event and is managed by the fair organizers.
