Papertown Trail Races
The Papertown Trail Races take place on October 10 at Chestnut Mountain Nature Park in Canton, North Carolina. This is the second running of the event and it is organized as a trail running competition with multiple distances.
The event offers the following distances:
- 20K
- 10K
Courses start and finish at the Chestnut Mountain Bridge Area. The short course follows Papertown Express and Old Timer to Turnpike and returns via Papertown Express to Berm Park, a route listed as about 6.2 miles. Long course details are not yet published.
There will be one water station on course and signs marking every turn; participants are advised to carry personal fluids or nutrition. Chip timing will be used for both races; timing chips are attached to the back of the race bib and bibs should be worn on the front of clothing. Water and light snacks will be available near the finish area.
Entry fees for both races follow a tiered schedule: $35 for registrations from January 1 to March 31, $40 from April 1 to September 30, and $45 for October registrations. Fees shown do not include additional service charges applied by the registration platform. Packet pickup and on-site late registration will be available at the venue on race day. Parking is in the Chestnut Mountain parking lot. Dogs are allowed in the parking and start/finish area but are not permitted on the course.
The event has a no refund no deferral policy. Registration transfers to another person or distance are allowed for a $2 processing fee and must be completed by October 8. Live results will be available during the event via QR code and final results will be posted later the same day. Awards will be given to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers in each race.
