PanCan Twilight 5k and Sunset Stroll
The PanCan Twilight 5k and Sunset Stroll is an evening event held at the Hog Neck Golf Course in Easton, Maryland. The courses take advantage of the natural setting during the transition from sunset to twilight. Participants move along the golf course terrain, including paths that are illuminated by the moon and supplemental lighting on the course.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 3.1 Miles: A timed 5k run or walk that begins at the clubhouse and follows the cart paths.
- 1.5 Miles: A non-competitive walking event called the Sunset Stroll.
The event follows a purple theme in support of the Mid-Shore Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. All participants receive a race t-shirt, a timed bib, and a purple glow stick. Those taking part are encouraged to wear purple clothing to align with the foundation's mission of supporting individuals in the community affected by pancreatic cancer.
The 5k portion includes awards for the top two finishers in several age categories for both male and female participants. These categories span from under 19 to 70 and over. Packet pickup is located on-site at the golf course clubhouse before the start of the activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
