Palo Alto Weekly Moonlight Run & Walk
The event is the 42nd annual Moonlight Run & Walk held in Palo Alto on September 25, 2026, as a benefit for local nonprofits that support kids and families and for local independent journalism. Race headquarters, sponsor booths, check-in, first aid and food and water are located on the infield of the Baylands Athletic Center at 1900 Geng Road, Palo Alto, CA 94303.

Course support includes water at the 5K mid-point and at miles 2 and 4.5 on the 10K. Medals for first, second and third place finishers in each division are handed out on race night after all races have finished. Registrations completed before October 1 include a long-sleeve Moonlight Run shirt while supplies last; shirts and race bibs are available for pick up at check-in.
No refunds are offered; registrations may be transferred to another person by the September 17 deadline. Race distance changes may be made through the registration account until September 29 at 11:59 pm; after that, adjustments must be made at the Problems and Solutions / Information tent on race night. No cash is accepted on site. Headlamps are highly recommended.
Parking is directed to nearby business lots off Embarcadero Road and E. Bayshore Road; participants are asked not to park in the Stanford Eye Clinic lot. Limited checking of small bags is available. Dogs are permitted on the 5K walk only with no retractable leashes and with clean-up bags; jogging strollers are welcome on the 5K walk or at the back of the runs.
