Belmont Water Dog Run : September 26, 2026
The Belmont Water Dog Run offers multiple events that begin at Twin Pines Park in Belmont. The event program includes road and trail distances and separate one-mile runs for children and for participants with dogs.
- 5K: out-and-back with the turnaround a bit past Carlmont Shopping Center.
- 10K: shares the 5K outbound and inbound sections and adds a trail portion on Lake Trail in Belmont Waterdog Park.
- 1 mi Kids
- 1 mi Fido Run: dog friendly one-mile event.
All registrants and volunteers receive a pancake breakfast provided by the Belmont Redwood Shores Rotary. The event is community supported and organized with help from sponsors, city partners, local schools, and volunteers. Over the years the run has funded grants to youth-oriented programs.
The event uses a student intern program in which more than a dozen students from Carlmont High School assist with design, marketing, data work, and race logistics.
