Belmont Water Dog Run
The Belmont Water Dog Run is a community-supported, student-powered event held in Belmont, California on September 26, 2026. The event is based at Twin Pines Park / 1 Twin Pines Lane and offers in-person and virtual options.
Race options include:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile - Kid's Fun Run
- 1 Mile - Fido Mile (dog-friendly)
- Virtual Run or Walk
Dogs are only allowed in the Fido Mile. Dogs in the Fido Mile receive a bandana and must be entered with one owner; additional family members who wish to accompany the dog must register separately. Parents who escort children in the Kids' 1 Mile must register in the Parent Escort sub-event; escorts do not receive shirts or medals. Participants in the 5K, 10K, Kids' 1 Mile, and the Virtual Run/Walk are offered a 2025 Belmont Water Dog Run race shirt and medal, with the option to decline either item for a per-item discount.
Group and item discounts apply: a 10% discount for four or more runners registered in a single transaction, and a $5 discount for each shirt or medal declined (up to $10). Packet pickup is available Friday, September 25 at Palladino Personal Training, 1077 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont, and on race day at 1 Twin Pines Lane. Course maps are published and may change. If a registrant cancels at least ten days before the event they may receive a credit of their registration fee less a $10 processing charge; credits are nontransferable and valid through the following calendar year.
