Belmont Water Dog Run
The Belmont Water Dog Run is an annual community event held in Belmont, California. All race distances begin at Twin Pines Park. The event features a variety of courses including:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 1 mile Kids Run
- 1 mile Fido Run
The 5 km course is an out-and-back route that reaches its turnaround point just past the Carlmont Shopping Center. The 10 km distance follows the same initial path as the 5 km but incorporates an additional trail section along Lake Trail in Belmont Waterdog Park.
All registered participants and event volunteers are provided with a pancake breakfast following the races. The event is organized with significant involvement from a local student intern program, where high school students assist with logistics and marketing.
