Dick Collins Firetrails is a multi-distance trail event organized by Scena Performance at Lake Chabot Regional Park in Castro Valley, California. The event on September 26, 2026 comprises three races.
- Bay Ridge 100k
- Firetrails 50 mile
- Golden Hills Marathon
The Firetrails 50 will use the original course with a fast out-and-back to Lone Oak with only minor changes from the classic route. The Bay Ridge 100k follows a route that leans into the original course and continues to Rancho Laguna. A 30k Dinosaur Ridge race will not be held this year. Preliminary aid station splits, cutoffs, crew access and pacer plans were provided for the 50 and 100k courses.
Events are UTMB Index races. The Firetrails 50 is included in the Pacific USATF Grand Prix. Time limits are specified by the organizer for each race and are enforced because of park permits and regional curfews.
Finishers receive event-specific apparel and mementos. Bay Ridge 100k finishers receive a rhino belt buckle in addition to a shirt, finisher hoodie, wine glass, custom bib, woodallion and race photos. Firetrails 50 and Golden Hills Marathon finishers receive a shirt, finisher hoodie, wine glass, custom bib, woodallion and race photos. Age group awards are given by 10 year groups.
The organizer’s refund policy states refunds are generally not offered; deferrals are possible outside 30 days and may be granted inside 30 days in exchange for volunteering. Registration closes September 25, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
