Palmetto Dunes Turtle Trot 5K
The Palmetto Dunes Turtle Trot 5K is a series of 5 kilometer run/walk events held at Palmetto Dunes - Dunes House on Hilton Head Island, SC, between April 1 and November 26, 2026. The course runs on the resort's hard flat beach and is presented as a family fun run.
Events are scheduled on multiple dates throughout the season, including several spring and summer dates and a Thanksgiving Turtle Trot on November 26. Registration is online only, with registration available up to race morning. Every paid registered participant receives a custom race T-shirt and a custom race bib; kids age 12 and under have a reduced entry fee and receive a T-shirt.
Packet pickup is available before race day at the Palmetto Dunes POA office and on race day at the Dunes House; participants should bring their confirmation email for pickup. Vehicle parking is limited at the Dunes House lot, with bike parking, handicap parking, and runner drop-off on site and additional vehicle parking at adjacent Hilton and Centre Court lots. Organizers note they will delay or cancel events if weather conditions pose a safety risk.
