Pagan Midwinter Half Marathon
The event takes place on Saturday 23 January 2027 in Chagford, in the north-eastern part of Dartmoor. The venue listed is Chagford Cricket and Football Club in Devon. The event is set in midwinter and the courses visit stone circles and other pagan sites in this area of north Dartmoor.
Two distances are offered:
- Marathon: over 28 miles, about 1500 m of ascent.
- Half Marathon: well over 14 miles, almost 700 m of ascent.
The terrain is moorland and valley country around the Upper Teign and Bovey Rivers. The listings state that the courses involve substantial climb and winter conditions make the event a significant test. The minimum age for entry is 17 years.
