Event overview
Totnes 10K takes place on Sunday 2nd August 2026. The organisers note that the permanent route adopted after erosion measures is now around 11K, though the event is still called the 10K. The race is largely off road and follows alongside the River Dart.
Course and facilities
The race starts and finishes on Borough Park and uses Totnes Leisure Centre as Race HQ. The leisure centre provides toilets, extra portaloos, showers and changing facilities. There is an on-site bag drop, medical cover in attendance and a professional PA system with live race commentary. Refreshments will be available, including cakes and, weather permitting, a BBQ with hot dogs, burgers and veggie burgers.
Entries, prizes and other details
Entry fees are £16 for affiliated runners and £18 for unattached runners. The event has a strict race limit of 625. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Prizes include awards for the first five male and female finishers, first and second in veteran categories every five years up to age 70, an under-18 category, and team prizes for men (six to count) and women (four to count). Headphones are not permitted and wearing them will result in disqualification. Number transfers are accepted only on race day with an administration charge of £3 per transfer. The race has raised over £29,500 for the local charity Totnes Caring.
A separate 1-mile Fun Run is held around the perimeter of Borough Park. Fun Run entry fees are £3.50 in advance and £5.00 on the day (cash only). Prizes and bespoke medals are provided for junior age groups, and chocolate is given to all Fun Run finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
