Totnes 10K
The Totnes 10K is an off-road running event that follows the course of the River Dart. The race route begins and ends at Borough Park, utilizing the Totnes Leisure Centre as the official race headquarters. This facility provides participants with access to changing rooms, showers, and a significant number of toilets, including additional portable units.
The event offers two distinct distances:
- 10 km race for participants aged 15 or older.
- 1 mile Fun Run around the perimeter of Borough Park.
The 10 km course is characterized by its scenic nature, with the majority of the path taking place away from paved roads. Participants are required to collect their race numbers from the leisure centre on the day of the event. Please note that the use of headphones of any type is strictly prohibited during the race and will result in disqualification.
The event features a variety of facilities and amenities at the site, including a bag store, a public address system, and a bar. Attendees can find refreshments such as tea, coffee, cakes, and a BBQ. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Free race photos are also provided to participants. The race has a participant limit of 625 runners.
Cash prizes are awarded to the top five male and female finishers, as well as to those who set new course records. Trophies or prizes are also designated for winners in veteran categories ranging from MV40 to MV70 and FV40 to FV70, along with awards for the first under-18 runners and top male and female teams.
