The event runs in small groups with guiding and supervision at a maximum ratio of 1:6 by qualified leaders. Daily plans include running and walking, with pace described as a slow run and walking on hills and technical sections. Typical daily distance can be up to 40 km. Each day returns to Capel Curig, where participants are responsible for their own accommodation and food. Included services are guiding, mid-day refuelling opportunities, a support vehicle with a qualified leader, and transport to and from the hills from the Capel Curig base. Cancellation insurance and accommodation are not included. Organizers recommend prior experience such as completing the Welsh 3000s over two days or completing a 50 km event.
