Event overview
The Paddy Buckley Round is a professionally guided, supported three-day route based in Capel Curig, North Wales. The route visits the major mountain ranges in northern Snowdonia and includes sections of the Welsh 3000s plus the Moelwyn and Nantle Ridge ranges.

- Approximately 9,000 m ascent and descent

- Running up to 40 km per day
The open event dates are Tuesday 21 July to Thursday 23 July 2026. Entries open 30 July 2025 and close 12 July 2026. Entry fee for the three-day event is £749, with an instalment option of 50% on entry and the remainder due by 23 May 2026. Places are limited to a maximum of six participants.
Logistics and support
Daily activity returns to Capel Curig, where a range of accommodation types is available; accommodation and food are not included. Each day includes transport out and back from the Capel Curig base and refuelling opportunities at midpoints. Guiding is provided at a low ratio (maximum 1:6) by qualified leaders, with a second leader and a support vehicle available for hill and vehicle support.
The organiser recommends prior experience such as completing the Welsh 3000s over two days or a 50 km event to prepare. Cancellation insurance is not included. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
