Outrace Epilepsy!
The Epilepsy Association hosts the annual Outrace Epilepsy! at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in Cleveland, Ohio on August 16, 2026. The event offers timed road races and a family friendly fun run/walk through the zoo grounds.
Distances:
- 10K - chip timed
- 5K - chip timed
- 1 mile - fun run or walk, not chip timed
Online registration opens April 20 and closes August 14. Pre-registration fees are $45 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K, and $25 for the 1 mile. A free 1 mile category is available for children age five and under; that free category does not include the event promotional item. Day of registration fees increase by $5.
Registered participants receive an official event promotional item and all-day admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo after the race. Additional event features include custom top finisher medals for certain placements, post-race refreshments, and same-day online results. Spectators must have a ticket to enter the zoo; tickets purchased directly from the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo will not be valid until after the race ends. Spectators may join a team and collect donations and will receive the event promotional item.
Fundraising options are available for individuals and teams, with suggested goals and tiered rewards: raising $250 or more earns an exclusive prize shipped after the event, and raising $500 or more also qualifies the fundraiser to receive their registration fee refunded. All proceeds support the Epilepsy Association’s local programs and services in Northeast Ohio.
