The Guardian Mile
The Guardian Mile is a one mile road race held in Cleveland on 8 August 2026, starting from the area around 1979 W 25th St and crossing the Hope Memorial Bridge. The course runs across the bridge and passes the Guardians of Transportation with views of the downtown skyline.

The event includes multiple age and division categories: youth divisions (8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 14-18), an open community mile, a stroller division, a masters competitive division, and invitational elite men's and women's fields. The Youth 8 and Under division requires an accompanying adult; the youth 9-11 division is eligible for awards. The youth 12-14 and 14-18 divisions offer team scoring. The open community heat participates in team scoring through the Skechers Team Challenge. The stroller division is run within the masters heat. The masters competitive division requires participants to be 40 years of age or older by 29 July and able to run a mile under 10:00. The elite men's and women's divisions are by invitation.
Registration fees vary by division; youth entries are listed at $15 and most open, stroller, and masters entries at $25; elite invitational entries show no fee.
