The Guardian Mile
The Guardian Mile is a set of one-mile races held on 08/08/2026 in Cleveland at 1979 W 25th St, OH 44113, on and around the Hope Memorial Bridge. The bridge is described as flanked by the Guardians of Transportation and overlooks the downtown skyline.
The program includes multiple divisions that each cover 1 mile: youth divisions (8 and under with a parent, 9–11), middle school (12–14), high school (14–18), an Open Community Mile, a Stroller Mile, a Masters Competitive division, and invitational Elite Men and Elite Women fields. Youth entries list a registration fee of $15.00; many adult divisions list a fee of $25.00; elite divisions are listed with no entry fee and are by invitation only.
Team scoring is available for some youth divisions and for the community field through the Skechers Team Challenge. The Masters Competitive division specifies eligibility: participants must be age 40 or older by July 29 and able to run a mile in under 10:00. The Stroller Mile is scheduled to be run within the Masters heat.
A post race party hosted by GOH Run is planned at the Market Garden Brewpub. Registration open and close dates, specific heat schedules, and other race rules are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
