OUTLAST NASHVILLE at Vaughns Gap
OUTLAST NASHVILLE is a six-hour trail endurance event near Nashville, TN. Runners complete a 5K loop every hour, on the hour, and must finish each lap within the hour to remain in the event. If a runner completes a lap early they rest until the next round; if they miss a lap they are removed from competition. Completing all six rounds results in the full OUTLAST finish.
The course is trail based and includes natural terrain, elevation, and variable conditions; some sections may include pavement or gravel. The listed event distance for the main challenge is 18 Miles. Timing is done per 5K lap, and a combined time is used to determine local winners and national rankings.
Awards and recognition are tiered by laps completed: a patch for four laps, a patch for five laps, and a premium six-inch OUTLAST medal for all six laps. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST T‑shirt. The fastest combined male and female times at the event receive the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are added to a national leaderboard; the top performer across all OUTLAST 6-hour events is named National Champion with a $1,000 prize.
Event logistics note basic aid at basecamp with water, hydration, and snacks, and the event is cupless so participants should use personal hydration systems. Participants may set up personal tents or aid stations on site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
