OUTLAST DALLAS FORT WORTH - Granbury
OUTLAST is a timed trail endurance challenge held over December 5–6, 2026 in Granbury, Texas. Runners repeat a 5K loop each hour; to remain in the event a competitor must complete each lap within that hour. Completing all rounds for a given format constitutes finishing that format.
The event offers multiple formats:
- 18 miles 6 Hour Challenge (day and night editions)
- 36 miles Outlast ULTRA 12 Hour Challenge
- 72 miles Outlast ULTRA 24 Hour Challenge
Courses are trail based with natural terrain, elevation changes, and variable footing. Each 5K is timed individually and combined times determine local placings and leaderboard position. If a runner finishes a lap before the hour ends they may rest until the next lap; if they fail to complete a lap on time they are removed from further laps.
Awards and participant items are tiered by laps completed: patches for four and five laps, finish medals or buckle for those who complete the full format they entered, and a premium OUTLAST tee for all participants. Top male and female finishers by combined 5K time earn local first place recognition; finishers are ranked on a national leaderboard. The fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6 hour events earns the national champion title and a $1,000 prize. Top 5 male and female 6 hour champions from each city earn entry to the Outlast Championship in DFW on December 4, 2027 with additional cash prizes for podium places.
