Event overview
The ICE AGE is a 5K run, walk, or stroll set for January 17, 2026, in Granbury, Texas. The course is an out-and-back that begins and ends at Hewlett Park (650 West Pearl Street) and uses the paved Hike and Bike Trail system. The race is scheduled the same day as Visit Granbury's Winter Event, the Goosebump Jump, which takes place at City Beach Park and includes a community plunge into Lake Granbury.
Entries, age groups and awards
Multiple event entries are offered, including chip-timed and non-timed options with different price points. A free entry is available for children age 5 and under when accompanied by a paying adult. Timed events include age categories for awards: 13-17; 18-24; 25-34; 35-44; 45-54; 55-64; and 65 and over. Awards for timed events are given for first place only, male and female. Finisher medals and beanies are provided for participants age 6 and up. Pets are not allowed under the event USATF sanctioned policy.
