Oswestry 10k
The Oswestry 10k takes place on Sunday 11 October 2026 and brings together participants who run for fitness, competition, charity, health, fun or to complete the distance. The event is centred in Oswestry town centre with the start and finish on Church Street.
The course is a one lap route that is mainly on town roads, with an undulating profile and a scenic section toward the end. The published route passes Church Street, Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road and Upper Brook Street. Roads are fully closed for the safety of runners and marshals will manage the course.
Race HQ is at Smithfield Street, Oswestry SY11 2EG and the start and finish are a short walk from several town centre car parks. Car parks referenced by the organiser include Bailey Head SY11 1PZ and Salop Road Central SY11 2NR. Residents are asked to note road closures and to move vehicles before closures take effect.
The event uses a 90 minute cut off time; roads are reopened in line with this pace and participants falling behind this pace may be asked to withdraw. At the finish runners receive water and a finisher medal. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers and to 14 age group winners, and the listed charity partner is Hope House.
