Oswestry 10k
The Oswestry 10k is a town centre road race in Oswestry, Shropshire, scheduled for Sunday 11th October 2026. The event start and finish are on Church Street and the course makes a single loop around the town. Race HQ is at Smithfield Street, SY11 2EG, a short walk from several town centre car parks.
The route is an undulating one lap mainly on town roads with a scenic section towards the end. The course follows Church Street, Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road and Upper Brook Street before returning to Church Street. Roads are fully closed for the race and marshals manage spectator areas. The race cut off time is 90 minutes and roads will re-open in line with that pace.
Facilities include a race village near local park areas, car parks, shops, cafes and eateries. The start and finish area will feature music, flags and a help desk. Finishers receive a medal and water is provided at the finish. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female overall and to 14 age group winners, seven female and seven male.
