Oswestry 10K Run
The Oswestry 10k is a town-centre road race held on Sunday 11th October 2026 that brings together a broad community of runners taking part for fitness, competition, charity, health or enjoyment. The event headquarters and start/finish are on Smithfield Street in Oswestry, Shropshire SY11 2EG, a short walk from several town centre car parks.
The course is a one lap route mainly on town roads with an undulating profile and a scenic section towards the end. Roads are fully closed for the safety of runners and volunteers, and the event uses a race cut off time of 90 minutes; roads will re-open in line with this pace. The published route passes Church Street, Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road and Upper Brook Street before returning to Church Street.
Race facilities include a race village near local parks, car parks, shops and cafes, a help desk at Race HQ, music and flags at the start and finish area, water at the finish and a finisher medal. Parking is available at Bailey Head car park SY11 1PZ and Salop Road Central Car Park SY11 2NR, and local residents are asked to plan for temporary road closures. Awards are given to the top three female and top three male overall and to 14 age group winners, seven female and seven male. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
