Event details

The Oswestry 10K takes place on Sunday 11th October 2026 in Oswestry, Shropshire. The event headquarters and race start/finish are located on Smithfield Street, Oswestry, SY11 2EG. The event uses fully closed roads and has a race cut-off time of 90 minutes.

Course and logistics

The race is a one-lap, undulating route largely on town roads with a scenic section toward the end. The course passes through Church Street, Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road and Upper Brook Street before returning to Church Street. The start/finish area and race village are within walking distance of town centre car parks and local shops, cafes and parks. Designated car parks named in the event information are Bailey Head (SY11 1PZ) and Salop Road Central Car Park (SY11 2NR).

Race day operations and support

Roads will reopen in line with the race pace; participants who fall behind the cut-off may be asked to withdraw for safety. Spectators are asked to stay off the course until runners have passed and may watch from pavements and Church Street. Water and a finishers medal are provided at the finish. Awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers and to 14 age-group winners (seven female and seven male). The event lists Hope House as a charity partner.
