Oswestry 10k Run

The Oswestry 10k is a town centre running event held on Sunday 11 October 2026. It brings together a local community of participants who take part for reasons such as fitness, competition, charity, health or to complete the distance. Entrants range from first time runners to competitive athletes.

The race is a one lap, mainly town road course with fully closed roads and a scenic section towards the end. The route passes along Church Street, Morda Road, Nant Lane, Trefonen Road, Oswestry Road and Upper Brook Street before returning to Church Street. Race headquarters and the start and finish are located in the town centre around Smithfield Street and Church Street, within walking distance of several central car parks and local shops and cafes.

Event facilities include a race village near the town centre and a help desk at race HQ. Finishers receive a medal. Safety measures include a 90 minute race cut off and road closures that will be lifted in line with the race pace; participants who fall behind the required pace may be asked to withdraw. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers and to 14 age group winners. The event supports the charity Hope House. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
