The Pareto FM Shrewsbury Half Marathon & Metric Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 27 September 2026 at The West Mid Showground, Berwick Road, Shrewsbury SY1 2PF. The event is UKA licensed and chip timed on a measured route. Entries include a technical race t-shirt, free official race photos, a bespoke metal finisher medal, and the option to plant a tree instead of receiving a finisher t-shirt.

Race details and facilities
The courses start and finish at the West Mid Showground and pass Shrewsbury landmarks including the Welsh and English Bridges, Kingsland, Porthill, Coleham, The Quarry, Frankwell, and the town centre with medieval buildings. Route signage is high-visibility yellow for the Half Marathon; the Metric Half uses blue signs with white arrows at two diverging points, including just before 3 miles at the Welsh Bridge and in the final half mile inside the showground.
Amenities and practical information include pacers for a range of target times (Half Marathon pacers from 1:30 up to 2:45 including the tail runner; Metric Half pacers from 1:00 to 1:30), two water stations (half runners pass each twice; metric runners pass each once), on-site parking (a small charge applies to the showground charity), 68 toilets on the showground, baggage drop with bib-number labels, and a bibtag timing chip system. Competitors must be at least 17 years old. Transfers to other runners are accepted; there are no deferrals.
