Event

The Osprey Trail Run takes place on 3 January 2026 at Kielder Forest. It is a night trail race and is Race 2 of the Shadowlands Race Series. The event is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and held under TRA/UKA rules. The minimum age is 18 or older.

Course and format

The route uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails and centres around the Osprey mountain bike trail. The course heads northeast along the Forest Drive and runs through the undulating blue trails around Gowanburn. Distance: 22 km. Elevation gain: 447 m. Prizes will be awarded on the night and participants can earn points toward the Shadowlands series overall presentation scheduled for 21 February 2026 at Pedalling Squares cafe.

Entries and fees

Entries open 26 October 2025 and close 1 January 2026. Entry fees listed are UKA Member £28 and Non Member £30. Entry fees include a £4 Forestry England charge.
