Event overview
The Osprey Trail Run takes place on Saturday 3 January 2026 at Kielder Forest. The event is a night trail race of 22 km with 447 m of elevation. The minimum age to enter is 18 or older. The event is organised by Cold Brew Events Ltd and is held under TRA/UKA rules; a £2 fee applies for participants without UKA membership.
Entry fees are listed as £28 for UKA members and £30 for non-members, plus a booking fee. The entry price includes a £4 Forestry England charge. Entries open and close on specified dates as set by the organiser.
Course and series information
The route uses forest tracks and mountain bike trails and centres on the Osprey mountain bike trail. The course heads out north east along the Forest Drive and follows undulating blue trails around Gowanburn.
This race is Race 2 of the Shadowlands Race Series. Prizes are awarded on the night and competitors can earn points toward the series overall presentation, scheduled to be held at Pedalling Squares cafe on 21 February 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
