North Star Ultra
The North Star Ultra is a multi-leg ultra marathon held Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 June 2026. The route covers 170 miles of trail and starts from Kielder Castle. The event is organized by Cold Brew Events Ltd. The minimum age to enter is 18 or older. Rankings are determined by furthest distance covered.
Format and logistics
The race is made up of five legs named North, East, South East, South West and West. Competitors may complete the four non-North legs in any order, but the North leg must be completed last. Each leg is an out-and-back route with a dedicated indoor turnaround location and a team to support participants at that point. The North leg is outdoors for its full length. Participants are tracked during the event and support teams are on standby to assist if needed.

Entries open 16 December 2025 and close 31 May 2026. Entry options and fees are:
- Solo: £150.00
- Pair: £180.00
- Quad: £200.00
