Operation Outdoor Freedom Trailfest : race and trail event
Operation Outdoor Freedom Trailfest is a trail running event held on September 12, 2026, at the Eastern Lake Trailhead off Hwy 395 into Watercolor. The event includes multiple course options that use marked forest trails. The races follow combinations of colored loops on the trail system: yellow, red and orange. Trail markings from the Forest Department are already in place and routes will also be marked on race day.

Registered participants receive a race shirt and a finishers medal. Runners registered by August 28th are guaranteed a shirt; additional shirts may be available for late registrants but are not guaranteed. Awards include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female overall for each race, plus 1st place male and female in age groups 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
Packet pickup is scheduled for the evening before the event on September 11, 2026, with a small pickup option on the morning of the event. A portion of race proceeds will be donated to Operation Outdoor Freedom, which provides recreational opportunities and fully equipped accommodations for wounded veterans on Florida state forests, agricultural and private lands.
Rotorhead 30A Racing reserves the right to refuse any participant entry. Refunds will not be given if the event is cancelled; swag and medals can be picked up afterward. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
