The 2025 New Year's Eve Ball Drop 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in Panama City Beach, FL. The event takes place at Frank Brown Park and is part of the New Year’s Eve activities at Pier Park. The distance is 5K. There are two entry categories: one for participants 16 years old and younger and one for participants 17 years old and up. Entry fees listed are $25 for the younger category and $35 for the 17-and-up category. Registration closes on December 29, 2025.
Logistics and awards
Electronic timing will be provided by Race Krewe. Awards will be given to the overall male and female finishers, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters, and three-deep in five-year age groups. Organizers will order a set number of T-shirts three weeks before the event; registering by December 15 is recommended to be assured of receiving a shirt. In case of bad weather and lightning, the race will be delayed in 15-minute increments; if hazardous conditions continue, registration fees will be treated as a donation. Race day registration is available on site. Accepted payment methods include cash, checks, and credit cards (credit cards accepted through RunSignUp).
