Operation CENTURION
Operation CENTURION is a long-distance endurance event held in the Washington D.C. region. The course is situated on the Rock Creek Trail, with the primary meeting point located at Meadowbrook Local Park.
Participants are required to complete a total distance of 100 miles. The event structure consists of 10 individual loops, with each loop measuring 10 miles. The route involves a total elevation gain of 6,790 feet, which averages approximately 679 feet of ascent per loop.
The event features a strict time limit for completion. All participants must finish the course within a 32-hour cutoff period. Registration is available under two categories:
- Operation CENTURION Light
- Operation CENTURION Standard
The event takes place over a two-day period in late May. The terrain follows the established Rock Creek Trail system, providing a consistent loop-based format for those attempting the full centurion distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
