Purpose, course and logistics
The event benefits EveryMind; all proceeds support mental health services, education, and crisis support across Maryland and the DC metro area, including programs for students and families, veterans, immigrants, and people experiencing homelessness. The 5K is chip-timed by MCRRC Race Management Services. Packet pickup is at RnJ Sports (11910-R Parklawn Drive) between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM; race-morning pickup is at Rockville Town Square under the black tents starting at 6:45 AM. All 5K participants need to pick up a shoe chip for timing on race morning. Registration prices listed on the page are $33 for the 5K, $27 for the 1K, and $17 for the kids run; prices increase after February 1, 2026. The course is a loop that starts and finishes on Gibbs Street and follows Beall, crosses North Washington Street, then proceeds via Owens, Carr Avenue, Mannakee Street, and Wilson Avenue before returning to Gibbs Street.
