Old Highway 5K Run/Walk
The Old Highway 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday October 3, 2026 in Tavernier along the Old Highway. The event is a timed 5K that starts and finishes at Coral Shores High School. Fifty percent of the event proceeds will go to Coral Shores High School as the benefiting partner.
The course is described as flat and offering lots of shade. Race shirts and participant medals will be provided to the first 200 participants to register. Awards will be presented to the Overall Top Three finishers male and female, Overall Masters male and female, and to the Top Three male and female in multiple age groups from under 6 through 80 and over.
After the race there will be snacks, refreshments, and music for participants and their guests. Event rules note that pets, skateboards, and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. Entry is non-refundable, non-deferable, and non-transferable.
Race management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances outside management control and may alter the course or distances for athlete safety. All times and locations are subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
