Old Dominion

Old Dominion is a measured 100 mile loop held near Fort Valley, Virginia, with the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds listed as the event location. The course passes through the Massanutten Mountains and the Shenandoah River Valley.

The route uses a wide variety of surfaces, including pavement, gravel roads, single track trails, ATV trails, logging roads, rocks, streams and mud. It is not solely a trail race and requires runners to handle both road and off-road sections. The course includes 14 significant climbs and about 14,000 feet of elevation gain.

The event is presented as a test of endurance. There is a 24 hour cutoff to earn the event silver buckle and a 28 hour limit to complete the course.
