About the race
Its Grim Up North Running's Oktoberfest takes place along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal from Rodley, near the Barge Pub (LS13 1HP). Distances range from 5k to Ultra Marathon, all on a flat towpath with only the canal locks giving gentle elevation. The course is marshalled and signed, with feed stations about every three miles, toilets at the start, and a bespoke finishers' medal with treats.
The event is cup-less, so runners are encouraged to bring a reusable cup or bottle. GPX route downloads are available; headphones are restricted. Registration opens in the morning.
