Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is a trail running event organised by Its Grim Up North Running and scheduled for 19 September 2026 at Rodley Cricket Club, Canal Bank Sports Ground, Moss Bridge Road, Rodley, Leeds LS13 1RL. Routes run along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath and are described as flat with gentle elevation around locks.
The event is chip timed and fully marshalled. Feed stations are provided approximately every three miles; the event is cup-less so runners should bring a bottle or cup. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and post-race treats. The race holds a Trail Running Association licence. Registration takes place at Rodley Cricket Club and parking at the club is a £5 cash contribution to the club funds. Bus links serve Leeds, Keighley, Shipley, Bingley and Bradford and car sharing is encouraged.
GPX route files are available for download before race day. No over ear headphones are allowed; bone conducting or one in one out use is permitted. Withdrawals should be reported to a marshal and distance drops may sometimes be allowed. Transfers and deferrals can be made online up to 72 hours before the event.
