Event Overview
The Oktoberfest running event takes place on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal near Rodley, Leeds. It is a trail race along a flat towpath.

Course and Features
The course is described as flat, with gentle elevation changes near canal locks. The event is chip-timed and fully marshalled. Feed stations are located every three miles and are cup-less, so runners must bring their own bottle or cup. GPX route files are available to download prior to the event.

The event starts and finishes at Rodley Cricket Club. Registration and parking are located here, with a parking fee of £5 cash. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (TRA).
Additional Notes
There are specific rules regarding headphones: over-ear headphones are not permitted, but bone-conducting or "one in/one out" styles are allowed. Distance changes are sometimes permitted on the day if a runner informs a marshal. Online transfers or deferrals are available up to 72 hours before the race day.
