Oktoberfest 5K Trail - Boal City Brewing
This event takes place in early October 2026 at Boal City Brewing in Boalsburg, PA. It offers two running events held on marked trails that begin outback of the brewery.
- Mini Monster Trail Loop (less than 1/2 mile)
- 5K Trail Run
The 5K course starts along the gravel driveway of the Boal Estate Mansion, passes beneath mature oak and maple trees and by Columbus Chapel on the left. The route moves through recently cut farm fields with fall foliage views, then continues on smooth, flowing singletrack through the Stan Yoder Preserve natural area and Blue Spring Park, both managed by Center Region Park and Recreation. The course is not flat and includes several hills; participants follow trail arrows to return to Boal City Brewing.
Awards are given after the race. Overall male and female awards are first through third place, with first-place winners having their names engraved on a trophy kept at Boal City Brewing. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Age divisions: 29 and Under, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Up. The Mini Monster Loop will be timed and receive awards after the runs.
Parking is available at Boal City Brewery. Roads remain open to traffic, so street and neighborhood parking is not permitted and pedestrians should take extra care when crossing streets.
