The Raven Trail Races
The Raven Trail Races are two trail distances run in Poe Valley within the Seven Mountains area of Bald Eagle State Forest, Pennsylvania. The courses run on rugged singletrack and runnable doubletrack through dense forest, featuring steep climbs, rock sections, stream crossings, overlooks, and long stretches of quiet trail. The event draws on Edgar Allan Poe themes and uses Raven motifs for awards.
Distances:
- 10K - ~6.9 Miles, +1.5K Elevation Gain
- Half Marathon - ~13.9 Miles, +2.9K Elevation Gain
The course is described as best suited for experienced trail runners; hikers who train and respect the terrain may also take part. Aid stations are placed on course and are supplied with hydration, fuel, and support. Tailwind Endurance Fuel will be available at all aid stations. Specific aid station locations for the half marathon include Dry Hollow (about mile 4.8), Penns View (about mile 6.8), and Mountain Church (about mile 10.5). The 10K serves Mountain Church at about mile 3.4.
The event is organized as a local non-profit. Net proceeds support college scholarships for local high school runners. Both distances are part of the 2026 Rocksylvania Series.
