The Oktoberfest 5-Miler presented by Altra takes place on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in Columbia, Maryland. The event is based at Charm City Run - Columbia, 7090 Deepage Drive, Columbia, MD 21045. The race includes the following options:

Course, logistics and amenities
The in-person course begins at Charm City Run Columbia and runs around Lake Elkhorn, crossing several wooden bridges and passing water views and wooded autumn foliage before a festive finish area. The race has a course time limit of 1.5 hours measured from each wave start. Organizers use four starting corrals; placement is based on the estimated finish time entered at registration and is printed on the bib.
All registrants receive a race-themed finisher medal and an Oktoberfest shirt. On-course aid station support, post-race snacks, and a complimentary drink from Black Flag Brewing Company (21+) are provided. A costume contest awards a pair of Altra shoes to the winner. Packet pickup is scheduled Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and on race day at Charm City Run Columbia (times listed by the organizer).
Awards are given to top overall and age-group finishers for the in-person event; no overall or age-group awards are offered for the virtual race. A portion of race proceeds benefits Bridges to Housing Stability. Sponsors include Altra, Black Flag Brewing Co., Columbia Association, and Lincoln Tech.
