Event overview
The Patapsco Valley 50K is an annual trail event held at Patapsco Valley State Park with race headquarters at CCBC-Catonsville in Catonsville, MD. The 2026 edition is listed as the 13th running of the 50k and the 5th running of the 25k. The course is described as scenic and historic, well marked, and will be run clockwise in 2026. The event includes five well-stocked aid stations staffed by volunteers, post-race food and drink, and on-course support. The start and finish are located in the multi-use fields near the back of the CCBC-Catonsville campus adjacent to the tennis courts; parking is in Lot 6.

Logistics and policies
Virtual runners may complete their distance on a self-chosen course between October 24 and November 24, 2026; virtual entrants receive the same shirt, finishers award, and other swag mailed at no additional cost. Finishers awards differ by distance: 50k finishers receive a hand-thrown mug and 25k finishers receive a finishers medal. The park has final authority to postpone or cancel the in-person event; the listed weather backup date is October 25, 2026. Registration closes October 22, 2026. Refunds requested before September 24, 2026 are subject to a $30 administrative deduction; no refunds are issued on or after September 24. UltraSignup fees, taxes, and other charges are non-refundable. There is a 10-hour overall time limit; finishers recorded after that limit are listed as "Unofficial Finisher."
