Patapsco Valley 50K - Baltimore, MD
The Patapsco Valley 50K event returns to Patapsco Valley State Park with race headquarters at CCBC Catonsville. The 2026 running is the 13th annual Patapsco Valley 50k and the 5th running of the Patapsco Valley 25k. The trail course is described as scenic, historic, and well marked, and runners will follow the course clockwise in 2026.
The event offers both in-person and virtual options. Virtual participants may complete their chosen distance on any course between October 24 and November 24, 2026, and will receive the same shirt, finishers award, and other event items by mail. All entrants receive a Brooks event shirt and an additional PV50K/25K logo premium item. Aid is provided on course via five well-stocked aid stations, and post-race food and drink are available.
Finishers awards differ by distance: 50k finishers receive a hand-thrown mug and 25k finishers receive a finishers medal. The start and finish area is on the CCBC Catonsville campus in the multi-use fields near the back adjacent to the tennis courts; parking is in Lot 6.
Patapsco Valley State Park retains final authority over the event; extreme weather has led to postponement or cancellation in the past. A backup date is listed for October 25, 2026. Registration closes October 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. Refunds are available only if requested before September 24, 2026 and will be refunded minus a $30 fee; no refunds after that date.
