Okie Half - Half Marathon & 5k
The Okie Half takes place March 13, 2027 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, with race activity centered at the Hatbox Events Park. Both the half marathon and the 5k use USATF certified, flat courses; the half course starts and finishes inside the fully restored Hanger 1 at Hatbox Events Park and passes local landmarks such as the ROXY Theatre, the Merle Haggard statue area known as "Circling Merle," and the Depot District. The 5k runs mostly on the loop trail around the Hatbox Sports Complex.

Finishers and age group awards are planned for both races. All half marathon finishers receive custom finisher medals. Half marathon age group winners receive 1st place mugs in five-year age groups up to 80 and over. Awards for the 5k include cast medals for first place and wood medals for second and third in each age group. Overall top three male and female finishers in each race receive distinctive trophies.
Participants registered by March 1 receive a guaranteed giveaway item; remaining items are first come, first served. A half marathon entry includes a finish-line meal from Mother Tucker’s BBQ Food Truck. Additional food vendors, coffee and sweets, refreshments for 5k runners, and free 5 to 10 minute post race massages for half marathon runners are listed. Packet pickup and in-person registration are offered Friday evening, March 12 at the Hatbox Events Center, and on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
