Event overview
The Okie Half takes place on March 14, 2026 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The event includes two races: 5k and Half Marathon. Both courses are USATF certified and described as flat. The half marathon starts and finishes inside the restored Hanger 1, now the Hatbox Events Center at 630 S 40th Street, Muskogee.
Race details and amenities
The half marathon route passes local landmarks including the ROXY Theatre, the Merle Haggard statue area, and Muskogee's Depot District. The 5k course is mostly the loop trail around the Hatbox Sports Complex. Packet pickup and in-person registration are available the day before the race at the Hatbox Events Center, and race day pickup/registration is also available. Registration uses tiered pricing; a regular price period lists the 5k at $32.50 and the Half Marathon at $70, with higher in-person weekend rates. Runners who register by March 1 are guaranteed event apparel sizes.
Awards and post-race items include custom finishers medals for half marathon finishers, age-group awards to 80 and over, cast medals for first-place 5k age-group winners, wood medals for 2nd and 3rd, and trophies for top three overall male and female in each race. Half marathon entries include a post-race meal from Mother Tucker's BBQ and a short complimentary post-race massage.
