Event Information
The Okie Half offers two running distances: a Half Marathon and a 5k. The event takes place on March 14, 2026, in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Course Details
Both courses are described as flat and are USATF certified. The start and finish for both events are inside the Hatbox Events Center, a restored venue originally known as "Hanger 1". The Half Marathon route passes by local landmarks including the historic ROXY Theatre, the Merle Haggard statue, and the Depot District. The 5k course primarily uses a loop trail around the Hatbox Sports Complex.
Registration and Amenities
Registration fees vary, with standard prices listed as $75 for the Half Marathon and $35 for the 5k. All runners who register by March 1st are guaranteed a t-shirt and a pair of jogger pants. Participants can pick up their race packets at the Hatbox Events Center on the evening before the race or on the morning of the event.
Post-Race
Half Marathon finishers receive a custom medal and a BBQ meal from a specified food truck. 5k participants receive refreshments and can purchase the BBQ meal. Awards include age group medals for the 5k and mugs for top age group finishers in the Half Marathon.
