Garden of Lights Run : Muskogee, OK
Muskogee Parks and Recreation hosts the 27th annual Garden of Lights Run on December 5, 2026, at Honor Heights Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The event includes a USATF certified 5K course that features a 250 ascent up Honor Heights Hill and passes through displays of holiday lights at dusk.
Dressing in holiday costumes is encouraged and there will be a costume contest for the best outfit. The 5K is limited to 250 participants and the Fun Run is limited to 40 participants. All 5K finishers receive custom cast finisher medals. A guaranteed event shirt size is available for registrations completed by November 22.
Registration opens in September and closes in November. Fees vary by date: the 5K has an early fee of $30 and a later fee of $35 including the day of the event; the Fun Run has an early fee of $25 and a later fee of $30 including the day of the event.
Packet pickup is scheduled at the Muskogee Parks and Recreation office on December 4 and at Honor Heights Park on race day. Parking is available at Honor Heights Park; there are no shuttle services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
