Ohioguidestone Promise Run
The OHIOGUIDESTONE Promise Run is a biennial event held at Wallace Lake Park in Berea, Ohio. This community-focused gathering supports mental health and well-being programs through various athletic distances. Participants can choose between several in-person events or a virtual option for those unable to attend at the physical location.
The event features the following distances:
- 10k Run (6.2 miles)
- 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Walk
- Virtual 10k/5k/1 Mile
The 10k and 5k races are chip-timed, while the 1 Mile distance is untimed. Awards are presented for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall in the 10k and 5k categories. There are also specific awards for the "Masters" (65 and older) and "Juniors" (12 and under) age groups.
Registered participants receive a run bag containing an event t-shirt. Following the race, the event offers a social gathering at Wallace Lake Park featuring family-friendly music, local food trucks, and a complimentary smoothie for participants. The venue is pet-friendly, and group registration discounts are available for parties of four or more people.
