Ohio MCC Run 4 Relief 5K & 1K
The event takes place on July 11, 2026 at the Mt. Hope Event Center in northern Holmes County, Ohio, located at 8076 OH-241, Millersburg, OH 44654. It is organized to raise funds for the Mennonite Central Committee, a 501(c)(3) global nonprofit focused on relief, development and peacebuilding. All registration money is donated to MCC.
The 5K is run on local township roads and offers scenic views of Amish farms and an Amish school. The course includes hilly terrain and may be demanding for cross-country runners. The 1K follows the first segment of the 5K on level roads and can be run or walked.
Distances:
- 5K - township roads, hilly course, views of Amish farms and an Amish school
- 1K - first part of the 5K on level roads; can be run or walked
Proceeds from registrations support MCC projects abroad, including small-scale agriculture and income-generation efforts in Nepal. Examples of supported activities include experimenting with strawberry production using moisture-retaining coverings, and investments in small livestock that provide dairy income and farm nutrients.
