The Elephant Run 5K, Steven Michael's Mile and Willow's Fun Run
Forget-Me-Not Baskets Inc., a non-profit that provides grief support and remembrance items to families after pregnancy or childbirth loss, presents a day of running events at Wayne College in Orrville, Ohio.
The event program includes:
- Elephant Run/Walk 5K
- Elephant Run 5K Wheelchair Race
- Steven Michael's Mile one mile
- Willow's Fun Run kids races for ages seven and younger
- Virtual Elephant Run 5K
Every participant receives a finisher medal. The 5K and the one mile event are chip timed. T-shirts are included with the 5K, Steven Michael's Mile and the Virtual Race; shirts are optional for Willow's Fun Run. Personalized shirt sleeve names and additional shirts are available for purchase. Post race food and refreshments are provided.
The 5K features awards for the top three overall male and female finishers and awards for first through third in age groups: 6 and under, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. The wheelchair race will have awards for the top three overall finishers and includes a ramp to the starting line and handicap accessible porta potties. A complimentary companion entry is available on request.
Packet pickup is offered in the week before the event at the FMN office and on the day before at Wayne College. Entrants should use the Smucker Road entrance to Wayne College as the Crown Hill Road entrance will be closed. Fundraising options allow partial or full refunds of registration fees for participants who meet the stated fundraising thresholds. Ott's Coffee will be available for purchase on race day.
