Millersburg Food Run
The Millersburg Food Run is a regional running event held in Millersburg, Ohio, organized by the Millersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. The event supports the Love Center Food Pantry, which has provided food assistance to families in Holmes County since 1986. Participants can choose from several distances:
- 10K (competitively timed)
- 5K (competitively timed)
- 1 Mile (non-competitive)
- Kids 1 Mile
The race takes place on the Rails-to-Trails path, a flat and paved route established on a former train track. Starting at the Hipp Station Depot near downtown Millersburg, the course transitions into wooded areas and farm fields. Runners may observe local wildlife such as deer or bald eagles. The trail is a shared public space used regularly by Amish buggies and cyclists.
All participants receive a finisher medal, a goodie bag, and a ticket for a prize drawing involving gift baskets from local businesses. After the race, a snack and beverage table is provided for participants. An in-person awards ceremony recognizes overall first place winners and top finishers across various age categories, ranging from 13 and under to 70 and older. Free parking is available at Hipp Station with additional street parking in the vicinity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
