Oh Boy 5K : Waterbury, CT
The Oh Boy 5K is a community 5-kilometer loop held in Waterbury on May 25, 2026. The course runs on Grand Street with the start and finish located on Grand Street and is described as mostly flat with some slight rolling hills. The course is certified (CT25012JHP) and the event uses chip timing.
Proceeds benefit child abuse prevention through the Exchange Club of Waterbury. The event is held in honor of a well-known local marathon runner.
Entry fees are tiered by date and category: adults pay one price through April 30 and a higher price from May 1 through race day; students pay a reduced rate with a similar date-based increase. Registered participants who sign up by April 24, 2026 are guaranteed T-shirt sizes; shirts are not guaranteed for later registrations.
On-course amenities include an aid station at the start and finish offering water and lemonade, a variety of snacks and bananas, and a nearby bag drop area. Portable toilets are available near the start and finish and at a turnaround near Hamilton Park Road. Finisher awards include a custom dog tag for all finishers and trophies for first through third places in male and female divisions for under 19 and 19 and over.
