Hamden Hills Half Marathon & Flat 5K Shoreline Sharks 2027
The event is scheduled for May 22, 2027 in Hamden, Connecticut and includes a Half Marathon and a flat 5K on the Rail Trail. Registration for 2027 is not yet open.

The Half Marathon course runs through the backcountry of Hamden, using the Rail Trail for the first two miles and the last two miles. Roads along the route remain open to traffic; police staff intersections and volunteers are positioned along the course. The 5K is entirely on the Rail Trail, offering a flat course with no vehicle traffic. Both courses are USATF measured.
Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 4.5, 6.5, 8.5 and 10.5 and are supplied with Poland Spring Water and Gatorade Endurance. Portable toilets are available at the start and finish and near miles 4.5 and 8.5.
Amenities listed for entrants include men's and women's short sleeve technical shirts, custom finisher medals for Half Marathon finishers, postrace refreshments such as water, Gatorade Endurance, bagels and bananas, live results via online/text/email, and free finish line photos.
Awards are custom pint pilsner glass trophies for the top three men and women overall and for the top three in each age group from 10-14 through 80 plus.
Venue: Railroad Canal Line Main Parking Lot, 270 Sherman Ave., Hamden, CT. There is ample parking in Rail Trail lots and on-street parking; parking in the Dunkin Donuts / Amity Liquors lot is prohibited and may result in towing. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
